Performance Gear Systems, Inc was started in 1997 by Pat O'Donnell in Bedford Park, Illinois focusing on:

• Design and specification of plastic gear drives
• Mechanism design
• Gearbox design and specification
• Kinematic analysis of mechanisms
• Motor and geartrain specification and optimization.
• Specifying of wire EDM and gear electrode geometry.
• Inspection of gear geometry
• Machining prototypes

Pat O'Donnell, President

Pat has over 15 years of experience in the industry with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University

Previously, when he worked for Kelsey Hayes Automotive, Pat was responsible for design and development of electro mechanical devices as well as power door lock actuators. While there he was awarded a patent for the North American Double Locking Mechanism (#5577583)
