Quality Control Inspector, Manufacturing
Reports to: Manager, Quality Control
Schedule: Hiring all 3 shifts
Responsibilities
- Daily measurements of production parts as they are produced following ISO 9001:2008 established directives.
- 1st article, in process and final inspection quality checks.
- Performing all testing of product
- Setting up test equipment
- Logging Data
- Tracking Scrap
- Collaborating with Manufacturing and Engineering
- Meeting productivity standards and strive to increase productivity.
- Making independent decisions and recommending changes that affect quality processes
- Identifying and reporting nonconformities and initiating resolutions
- Communicating inspection issues to Quality Manager and/or Shift Supervisor as well as communicating with the next and/or previous shift to go over any special instructions, problems, or issues that need to be addressed
Requirements
- Machine shop experience
- Experience with Quality Management Systems
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
- Experience with Calibration of inspection instruments, Calipers, Micrometers, gage pins
- Experience with gear checking equipment is a plus
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawing specifications
- Must be proficient in metric as well as standard measurement systems
- Vision System knowledge a plus
- Knowledgeable in all Microsoft Office Applications
Education
High School Education. Bachelor degree a plus.
Experience
Three to five years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
